WE payload extracted
The West End payload was extracted today. All operations went smoothly.
We did not detect any halos on the mirror surfaces.
The transport of the payload to the 1500W clean room is scheduled for tomorrow morning.

I did not remember that the external payload baffles for the WE were bare AISI 304L super mirror finish, without AR coating. To be tracked and kept in mind when analyzing the stray light noise contribution from this tower.

This is interesting, and can be an explanation for higher issues with scattered light in WE than in NE. Looking at picture from NE from 2 years ago, the outer baffle of NE are anti-reflective coated: https://logbook.virgo-gw.eu/virgo/?r=60483

Fiber breakdown. Some panic in the morning of yesterday as before the transportation, we found two fibers HR side N broken. The event happened after the extraction. After some (understandable) speculations, we realized that they broke down had happened due to a trivial maneuver concerning the stops and consequent stress on one side exceeding the breaking strength. The sequence is clear and nothing new happened.

Just for the record, in https://logbook.virgo-gw.eu/virgo/?r=66569 the outer baffles were found close to the safety structure of the WE payload. I am posting here to ease the task of the people which will read in ten years from now.
