HWS-INJ check part 3

Yesterday evening, the last measurement performed with the CH ON showed the CH almost completely outside the HWS map, as shown in Fig. 1. This result was also confirmed by the measurement performed with the RH and reported in entry 69692.

After several movements of EIB_HAR_M0 performed this morning, we reached a configuration in which, after switching on the CH, the HWS map appeared as shown in Fig. 2.

Before re-suspending EIB, we checked the alignment between the HWS beam and the green flashes and found that they were not superimposed, with a clear shift between them.

At the moment, we do not understand why superimposing the HWS beam on the green beam does not result in the HWS beam being centered on the WI mirror.

After re-suspending EIB, we started a new acquisition with the WI RH. The ITF was in single bounce, with the PR aligned and the control on WI MIR engaged.

The RH effect was clearly visible in the HWS map (Fig. 3).

We then waited for about 1.5 hours before switching on the CH, to allow the RH effect to partially decay.

At this point, we acted on the hot mirror of the WI CO2 bench in order to align the CO2 actuators with the RH.

We left the situation as shown in Fig. 4. The CO2 actuators are aligned with the WI mirror within approximately 0.5 cm.

Then, we switched OFF the HWS-INJ SLED.

To be noted: to move the hot mirror, we initially used the new VPM interface developed by Erin. It worked well at first, but at some point the message command failed appeared. We therefore continued the alignment using the old interface on ctrl1.
