The new baffle has an aperture whose diameter is 150 mm. The increase of 1.3 kg load was compensated by removing two stops of the marionette (in total 2.04 kg) and readjusting the weight.
The motors were checked. The motor labeled as Tz indeed moves but with anomalously slow speed, probably the grip on the screw is loose. Anyhow it moves in both directions. During the tests we were able to appreciate that 1 g on the tip of the magnet mount produces a significant number of steps (a few hundreds).
Some further work was needed because the beam of the mirror optical lever, slightly miscentred on the mirror, did not reach anymore the sensor after the reflection (Fig1). After the work on the optical lever the beam has similar clearance on the two sides. and allows full range dynamics on the sensor (Fig2).
The Optical lever of the mirror is not anymore the pre-aligned reference so far.
The system was left in the hands of VAC team to finalize the evacuation in the late afternoon.
