SSFS Corr trend shape changed - PSTAB_PD{a,d}_AC_MONIT line at 15.4Hz increased

Since yesterday, the shape of the SSFS_Corr trend signal is changing while the ITF has been locked in LOW_NOISE_3 for some time.

Looking at the raw channels of the SSFS_{Corr, Corr_Flt, DigitalNoise_Corr}  and the PSTAB_PD{a,d}_AC_MONIT  at the following time, plot and its zoom,

  • orange: 2024-11-14-22h30m30-UTC
  • purple: 2024-11-14-23h30m30-UTC
  • blue: 2024-11-15-00h30m30-UTC

On can see that:

  • the line at 15.45 Hz increased on all these channels: SSFS and PSTAB ones
  • its first harmonic at 30.9Hz appeared on the SSFS signals
  • the line at 15.45Hz is present only on the PSTAB_PDd_AC_MONIT channel and not in the PSTAB_PDa  at the begining (plot)

The last plot show the SSFS_Corr trend channels and the PSTAB ones

  • it seems that the issue appeared after the tests on the PSTAB done yerterday (red rectangle)
  • 2024-11-14-17h31m52-UTC     'PSTAB:Open PSTAB' sent to ISYS_slow
    2024-11-14-17h43m49-UTC    'PSTAB:Close PSTAB' sent to ISYS_slow

Looking more in detail to this line at 15.4Hz, we noticed that another line close to that, at 15.7Hz, was indeed already present since November 7 on most INJ signal (see fig. 1-2). Moreover, we noticed that yesterday, right before the INJ shift started, the power inpinging the IMC_REFL_DC photodiode decreased by itself (fig. 3). Thus, we decided to increase a bit it in order to recover the standard value. However, this action didn't solve the saturation of the SSFS.

In the following lock, we noticed that those two lines, were present almost everywhere in the INJ channel, also in the alignment channels (see fig. 4), and started to increase and saturate only once the SSFS loop was closed.

A similar problem was already observed in the past, and is due to a non optimal tuning of the working point of the IMC AA. Therefore, we decided to perform a general check of the IMC working point, both longitudinal and angular.

We found out that most of them were similar to their previous values with the exception of the offset for the FarField QD Galvo:

  Old New
IMC working point   -0.08 0.03
QD FF H -0.524 -0.2
QD FF V   0.61 0.4
QD NF H     -0.05 -0.05
QD NF V     -0.27 -0.19

To be noted that a similar check has already been done few week ago, when no big changes were needed.

Anyway, once the tuning finished, both lines at ~15Hz were not present anymore (see fig. 5).

After one unlock in locking LN3 (to be checked the reason), we could relock in LN3.
