SQB2 motor 3

Friday 30th april SQB2 was put under vacuum. Alessandro relaized that motor 3 under vacuum was stucked in both the directions.

We had the impression that the screw of the motor 3 had the same problem we found out one month ago in the motor 3 of SQB1. Today we open the dome in order to replace the screw but we realized that it was moving perfectly in both the direction both by hand and by moving the motor.

We put again the motor 3 and 4 at 3/4 of its range toward down, we closed the dome and we asked again the vacuum team to evacuate SQB2.

We will try to move again motor 3 in vacuum. If we will find again int stucked we will replace the screw.

Last night Alessandro tried to move upward motor 3 of SQB2 but he realized that the filter 1 was not moving. This could be explained in two ways: filter 1 was too heavy or motor 3 was stucked.
Today we tried to face both problems: we modified motor 3 in the same way as motor 3 of SQB1 (we replaced the screw and we cleaned the peek cursor) and we removed a mass from filter 1.
We checked also that the suspension was free to move in the vertical direction.
We closed the dome and it is going under vacuum.

Thanks to yesterday intervention the suspension can now properly operate in vacuum. Both fishing rods work correctly and it was possible to balance both filters and close stably all control loops. Optimisation of the SBE loops will continue in the coming days. Current set-points of the bench are just temporary; final ones will be determined during the QNR alignment activities.
