Activities on EQB1 15th April: replaciement of the superpolished LO mirrors and recovering of the BAB-LO overlapp on HD (VIS optimization)

We replaced the two mirrors on LO path and EQB1_M6 with the superpolished one avvording with the following wedge orientation

(we still nave not the superpolished PBS):

LO_M1: -0.5 (looking in front at HR surf: thicker side at left)

LO_M2: 0.5 (looking in front at HR surf: thicker side at right)

EQB1_M6: -0.5 (looking in front at HR surf: thicker side at left).

Absorbers set in the mounts, back at the mirrors (this mirrors are on actuated mounts with blind back).

After this operation we recovered the overlapp of the BAB retroreflected from SQB1 to the LO.

To do this, first of all we lowered the BAB coming from SQB1, left the day before a little bit high on EQB1_M6. In agreement with Romain B.

Checking better with the reference diagraphms  the beam heigh on SQB1, we observe that it enter bottom tilted (from the top toward bottom from EQB1 to SQB1). Acting on the vertical tilt of EQB1_M3 and M5 we were able to put in plane both on the last path segment on EQB1 and on all SQB1. We chek with the beam profiler that the beam were not clipped both when transmitted from SQB1_FI2 and when retroreflected toward SQB1 and that it was well centerd (checking lateral and veritcal margins before it starts to be clipped) . Nevertless it reached  the last steering on SQB1_M4 too low and on EQB1_M6 to high. We act on SQB1_M13, SQB1_M14 and EQB1_M6 to put well  in plane and centered the beam from SQB1_M14 to  HD_BS. Then we centered again the HD cameras and the monitoring PD (EQB1_IR_MON_PD) after the HD_BS,on the monitoring path. The position of the retroreflected BAB on this devices were our reference to align and overlap the LO.

From what observed we deduce that the position of SQB1, at the present blocked in air, can be kept as reference  to suspend it

At the end of the shift we have the two beams overlapped and observed, wthout fine work, a HD visiibility ~82%

N.B.: position of EQB1_MT2 @27.000 mm (step motor)

position of LO_L1: centered w.r.t. the traslational stage

position of LO_L2: 20 mm (motor at end of the range towars HD)

NO HAWP on LO path before HD
