This morning we removed the cooling fan of the driver of the PR-link turbo-molecular pump, with the aim to reduce its acoustic/seismic emissions  [see logentry_46103] . The new cooling fan (an ordinary model) has been mechanically detached from the metallic box of the driver. The driver is protected by an overtemp switch.
