Flat noise and differential offset(s)

This morning we recorded some data with intermediate configurations for DARM offsets. The purpose is to understand if there is a power law of the flat noise wrt the darm offset and/or the power on B1 PDs. A summary of the explored darm offset configurations is in the first plot.

Then, we left a high enough offset on DARM (about 6mW per B1 PD) and, following Michal's advise, we tried to partially offload the B1 PD power from the DARM offset to a MICH offset (see second plot). The idea was to try and disentangle the two actions: a variation of the darm offset and a variation of the powers on B1 PDs.

In this latter configuration, a contamination of Hrec by phase noise mediated by PRCL onset. It is not clear if we will manage to extract the level of the flat noise in this case.

The intended investigation with a negative darm offset was not possible due to lack of time.

To be continued.
