The site has experienced early this morning an electrical and computing shutdown involving the Control and Central Buildings with root causes still being analyzed.

After the shutdown power has been restored and the IT team started the recovery process.

In the late afternoon the core IT services in Cascina (networking, IAM, mailing lists, majority of websites, etc.) were restored. Accessibility via ThinLinc sessions was also re-established.

Regarding the ITF, all essential machines (rtpc, olservers, ctrl) have been restored and:

• Timing has been restarted
• Cm and VPM processes have been restarted
• DAQ has been restarted (Collection, Storage, and Access)

Data are therefore once again available for subsystem status checks.

We are still working on the full recovery of the Detector Monitoring System (DMS).

A series of checks were made on certain subsysystems to be possibly reported separately.

During a brief 17:30 meeting in Control Room, we agreed to continue assessing the status of the various subsystems. The ITF restart will be attempted starting Monday, beginning with the Vacuum system.
