The action was smoothly performed thanks to the kind support by VAC team, which alerted in time on Sunday, in the morning of Monday 14 set back the payload assembly structure (a disk with four shafts) on the Hymo. Then:
We started at 3.45.
- two people got into the chamber
- the structure was very gently driven and positioned under the actuation cage flange in the proper inserts (the payload was left free , lumped along the plumb line). This happened under position control at the top of the suspension.
- the top cones of each shaft were bolted
- in this situation the cage was fixed at rest an the baffle substitution was performed
the sequence was very smooth
After a short break, during which VAC crew re-positioned the flange of the chamber under the manhole, the standard sequence to complete the installation was done
At 8 pm the work was finished and VAC crew started working again.
