Configuration of the Automation for the WE operations

In order to accomodate the unavailability of the WE during the intervention, and in order to steer the parts of the detector still available, this is the procedure which will be followed to set the Automation in the correct state:

  • ITF_CONDITIONS node in STOP: AutoRelock and AutoScience are turned off;
  • ITF_STATUS node in UPGRADING;
  • ITF_LOCK node in DOWN; wait for all managed nodes to go to their expected target states; ITF_LOCK node PAUSED;
  • INJ_MAIN node detached from management (AUTO mode); node in IMC_RESTORED;
  • ARMS_LOCK node in DOWN (if not already); node PAUSED;
  • WARM_LOCK node in DOWN (if not already); node PAUSED;
  • ALS_WARM node in DOWN (if not already); node PAUSED;
  • NARM_LOCK node in DOWN (if not already); node detached from management (AUTO mode); node asked to keep the arm locked in LOCKED_WITH_B7_BOOST_ON;
  • ALS_NARM node in DOWN (if not already); node detached from management (AUTO mode);
  • SUS_WE node PAUSED;
  • DRMI_LOCK node in MISALIGNED_PR_SR (if not already); it is not strictly necessary to PAUSE it, but there should be no harm in doing this;
  • DET_MAIN node in SHUTTER_CLOSED; node detached from management (AUTO mode);
  • OMC_LOCK node in TEMP_CONTROLLED; node detached from management (AUTO mode);
  • SQZ_MAIN node detached from management (AUTO mode); node in LOCKED_PLL_CC.

Other nodes should not be impacted and can be left as they are.

This will be implemented either tonight or tomorrow morning, depending whether we'll be able to keep some lock in the evening after turning off the WE ring heater or not.

The configuration is now in place; most probably the only three nodes that will be useful, INJ_MAIN, NARM_LOCK and ALS_NARM, can now be operated standalone.
