IMC payload with instrumented baffles suspension and alignment
This afternoon we released the IMC payload with instrumented baffles installed from the craddle blocking the RM, than we removed the locking screws between the safety frame and the Marionette.
Finally, with the payload suspended freely we adjusted the alignment wrt to the local control optical levers.
Just a ballast of about 20g was added over the marionette, on the E side along the beam axis, to compensate a residual pitch of a few deg. to keep the dinamics of the balancing motors.
The payload was left suspended and aligned with the safety craddle re-installed underneath (see pictures).
The tower is beeing cleaned and tomorrow, after a final check of the payload cabings we can poceed to closure and evacuation.

Special actions: before the alignment of the payload we perfomed a first check of the instrumented baffles response with the aid of a green laser pointer impinging each of the baffle sensors for about 5 s .

No mechanical issue to report.

All the controls has been closed and seem to work as before.

The setting of the previous working point required the use of many motors:

F0 trolley 1: 620 steps CCW

F0 trolley 2: 20 steps CCW

F0 trolley 3: 1230 steps CW

F0 fishing rod: 800 steps CCW

F4 fishing rod: 900 steps CCW

F7 fishing rod: 1000 steps CCW

MA_TZ balanc (for pitch): 1900 steps CW

MA_TX balanc (for roll): 250 steps CCW

We can consider those adjustments quite relevant, but all well inside the range of the motors, which remain usable for future adjustments.
