Replacement of dust contamination witness samples on EQB1

On Monday 8/3/2021 we removed the dust witness samples placed on both EQB1 and near SDB1 minitower in mid-December (Logbook Entry 50211). Unfortunately, the horizontal wafer at the center of the bench is broken, while the vertical one is missing and we didn't find it. Plus, the box cover of the horizontal sample placed near the AEI SQZ has been placed vertically, thus becoming a dust-collector itself, and the sample near SDB1 tower nearly fell off its box. If these samples keep getting moved, crashed o disappeared, they won't be able to represent the environment: please be careful when dealing with them. Overall, the wafers look very dirty, in particular the one near SDB1 showed both dust and fibers on the surface (some red), see Figure 1.

On Friday 12/03/2021, we placed 4 other samples on EQB1:
-One horizontal on SQZ
-One horizontal on bench, near SQZ (Figure 2)
-One horizontal near the homodyne (Figure 3)
-One vertical near the homodyne (Figure 3)

These wafers will monitor the dust particle fallout on the final super-polished optics installed on EQB1. Horizontal witness samples have been left in their open boxes, the vertical witness sample was mounted on a vertical support with two screws.

Please do not move the samples and report any activity that may need to be performed in the close proximity of a sample and may compromise its representativeness of the average cleanliness condition of its location.
