SIB2 and LNFS daqboxex configuration upgrade

LNFS DaqBox:

This morning  2 new demodulation mezzanines were installed in the DaqBox_SN26 to monitor the injection EOM  outputs.

The LNFS_dbox_rack configuration file will be upgraded when the channels were be connected

 

SIB2 DaqBoxes:

For the RFC photodiodes, a new demodulation frequency is available at 56MHz

For the B2 photodiodes,

  • the VGA was increased by 2 (previous 0x08, new 0x99) to not be limited by the ADC readout noise.
  • the 56MHz demodulation channels from PD1 and PD1 photodiodes are sent only to the SSFS daqbox
  • there is no more  the 18MHz and the 119MHz demodulation for the B2 photodiodes

As consequence the LSC_Acl configuration has been upgraded too.

 

SDB2 DaqBoxes

We made some trials to add the 7MHz SQZ demodulation channels on the B1p quadrants.

Unfortunately we faced some troubles due to the overload of the SDB2 Tolm network or maybe on the  embedded DSPs used for the filtering .

Some more tuning are required to setup the 7MHz SQZ demodulation, as to reduce from 1MHz to 500KHz the sampling rate of the data sent to the filtering DSPs

SIB2_dbox_bench  B2 RF gain tuning

In order to avoid any saturation of the demodulation ADC during the lock acquisition phase, the B2_PD{1,2} VGA gains have been reduced  from high gain  0x99(24) to  high gain 0x84(4).

Until this morning the B2_PD{1,2} VGA gain was set to low gain 0x08(8)
