Print this reportNew dihedron installationYesterday we have installed the new dihedron on SIB1 and the associated baffle with a smaller aperture respect to what we had before (40mm instead of 50mm) (see attached picture). The reduction of the apertures may reduce the higher order modes in the IMC cavity.
During this operation, we have also measured the throughput of the SIB1 from the dihedron output port up the pickoff beam (behind SIB1_M6 mirror) where we measured some time ago the throughput of the IMC cavity (see entry #31558).

We measured for 3.86W at the output of EIB, the following powers:
in transmission of M6 : 2.2 mW
Just before entering th Power stabilization box : 23mW (+0.17Volt)
Reference cavity reflection : 5.1 mW

At the end of the work, we have checked the balancing of the bench which turned to be better than 1mRad in theta X and theta Z dofs.
The tower has been closed around lunch time today.
